Here are some new additions to my lipstick collection. Both of which from Maybelline Color Sensational range. I've had one of those-Sweet Pink before and as I liked it a lot, I decided to purchase it again. The two shades that I got are 132 Sweet Pink and 842 Rosewood Pearl. When I swatched the other shade on the back of my hand in the store I really liked, but when I got it and applied on my lips, I wasn't pleased with the shade at all. It doesn't suit my skin tone and ages me. Don't really know what it is, maybe the brown tone in it which I never had in any lipstick before. I'll try to make it work, but for now I only enjoy using Sweet Pink- neutral everyday pink that's very universal and would flatter probably every complexion out there. The lipsticks themselves have a slight honey scent, they are not very creamy or super moisturizing, but they do feel nice on the lips. The staying power is quite decent, I just wish they were a little thicker and more buttery and more moisturizing. They kinda feel too waxy, but I like the Sweet Pink nonetheless:)
Swatches left to right: Rosewood Pearl, Sweet Pink
I went shoe shopping with my mum last week and these are the new additions to my shoe stack:) I love sparkle, can you tell? lol If you wanna see them better, you may check Youtube, I posted a video on my channel by the username Chanelette.
Hope you are all having a great week! Tell me what are your fav types of shoes for summer!
I got the Rouge Coco Shine in Aventure, which I love but whenever I see this video I wanna get more lippies! Boy, Monte Carlo, the newly released Royallieu. Why, Peter, why do you create things this pretty!
My poor wallet shouldn't suffer this much!
Girls, tell me if you've got any of the Rouge Coco Shines and how you like them:)
These are some of the high street beauty items that I got over this week. Here we have a make up outlet store..it's not something fascinating, but you can find some bits and pieces to try out and they are half the price. So I got this eco face moisturizer for oily to combo skin from Madara which I've always been keen to try. And my skin tends to get shinier and shinier whilst summer is approaching. I've already started using that moisturizer but expect for a proper review only after a month or so.
I then got two products from Bourjois, one of them being the famous Rose D'or blush, widely compared to the Orgasm blush from Nars. And the colors are seriously comparable, I'll admit. It's a pretty pink shade with gold sheen to it. I wouldn't say it's shimmer...well maybe, but super duper tiny. It gives a beautiful healthy glow to your face. The blush is highly pigmented so be aware of that and use it with a light hand or with a fan brush as I do, otherwise you'll end up looking like a joke. The second item is the metallic eye liner in 53 Feulle de cuivre. It's like a bronzy shade, very very creamy, super pigmented, lasts all day. A brilliant eye liner for a bronze goddess look. Would look gorgeous on your eyes if you have a little bit of a tan. Love it! (makes green/blue eyes stand out as well) I paid 3euro for that, can you believe it? Money well spent:)
The last two items are from Wet n Wild. What's up with that name? And seriously, make up brands are giving the weirdest names to their products, especially Nars and Illamasqua. Orgasm, Deep Throat, Sex Appeal, Caress, seriously? I'm not being an old lady in anyway but, really?
Anyway let's move on to the actual products. I got these two single eye shadows as I heard that they are very good quality, super pigmented and buttery texture eye shadows. I got the two neutral everyday shades: 'Nutty' and 'Brule'. Nutty being satin and Brule matte finish eye shadow. They are truly brilliant eye shadows for an everyday eye look. Very well pigmented and easy to blend. Colors are beautiful for an overall lid shade. I think Wet n Wild Brule is comparable to Brule from Mac. Nutty is a perfect contour shade. Highly recommend those, you won't be disappointed, plus you will only need to spend 6 euros for the two of them!
I've also mentioned all these products on my Youtube channel so you may check that out if you wish!
I've noticed that I have accumulated quite a few hand creams and thought I'd give you a brief review on them and tell which ones I like the most. Here you go:
1. Garnier Skin Naturals intensive care (dry skin)
This hand cream contains natural palm oil, coriander and glycerine. Claim: "protects and nourishes dry and very dry hands. Daily use prevents aging of your skin, makes it smooth and soft. It is gently, non-sticky, non-oily". My thoughts: It is indeed very gently non sticky moisturizer, absorbs quickly, the smell is ok, however I don't find it to be moisturizing enough if you have really dry hands, it just leaves them soft. Rank 3.5/5
2. Oliva by ccs eco hand cream
It contains organic olive oil, shea butter and glycerine. Claim: "the softening and moisturizing cream for dry hands...It restores the natural softness of the skin of your hands and epidermis, absorbs into the skin easily. No parabens, no mineral oils and no silicone". My thoughts: I really really like this cream. Like how it feels on my hands, the texture is very light and runny, absorbs into the hands very quickly, super moisturizing, has a very pleasant fresh scent to it and leaves your hands with that nourished feel and healthy glow. Rank 5/5
3. SPAresource COCONUT hand cream with shea butter
It supposedly contains shea butter but on the back of the tube I saw a milion of other nasty ingredients.
Here you go: Aqua, Butyrospermum Parkii, Glycerin, Cetearyl Alcohol, Theobroma Cacao, Seed Butter, Propylene Glycol, Glyceryl Stearate SE, Mangifera Indica, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed oil, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Dimethicone, Parfum, Ceteareth-20, Grape seed oil, soybean oil, honey extract, lemon, orange fruit extracts, Rosemary leaft extract, polyacrylamide, C13-14 Isoparaffin and Laureth-7 and what not.
What on Earth is Xanthan Gum, C10-13 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer or Hexyl Cinnamal? Gosh, this cream is going straight to the trash bin, I wish I've read that earlier. Don't buy it, girls! My thoughts: Rubbish hand cream that is greasy and hardly absorbs into your hands. Smells good because of all the perfumes, but doesn't moisturize enough. Rank 1/5
4. Nivea Soft & Intensive hand cream
It contains Macadamia nut oil and vitamins Claim: "Nivea smoothing and nourishing hand cream protects, softens and smoothens the dry skin of your hands for the entire day with only one application of the cream. This rich hand cream with Macadamia oil and vitamins softens the skin and strengthens its protective barrier at the same time. The improved formula with "Hydra IQ" intensively moisturizes and your hands even after washing them"
Sounds promising, right? My thoughts: I found out that it contains alcohol, parabens, perfume and other bad stuff, but I really like tis cream. The scent is very nice, kinda sweet, orangy and nutsy. It leaves your hands incredibly soft and well moisturized, absorbs quickly and leaves this thin layer of oil, which keeps your hands moisturized even after washing, as promised. Rank 4.5/5
5. L'occitane Vanilla Flower hand cream
The cream contains shea butter Claim: "it nourishes your skin and provides it with gentle and subtle scent of shea butter and vanilla". My thoughts: A wonderful hand cream that is very rich, ideal for very dry hands and colder seasons. You need to work it into your skin a little more, because it's not very fast absorbing due to its rich texture. Leaves your hands super soft and nourished for the rest of the day. The have loads of scents, such as rose, cherry blossom, original, lavender. I got the mini version of vanilla scented cream. I love vanilla, however I hate it in this cream, it is too woodsy and off-puting, nothing as I want my vanilla to smell like. Next time I'll go for rose, it was way more pleasant. Nevertheless, the cream is really good and being pricy it is worth the money. Rank 5/5
Here are the swatches of the two of my favorite hand creams. Top one: L'occitane, bottom one: Oliva by ccs. You ca see how thick and rich L'occitane one is in comparison to the other cream. They are both brilliant, I'd use the Oliva one for everyday, when my hands are not super dry.
Hope you are having a great week, everyone! If you've tried and loved any particular hand creams, please do share them with me!

I didn't have any luck with Nivea lip balms before but I heard a lot of good things about this one from their Pure&Natural range. And I have to say that I agree with girls who say that this one differs from the other Nivea balms and is way better. I've tried their Light Kiss balm in a pot which is completely rubbish, leaves your lips with white stains of balm and doesn't moisturize whatsoever, their Pear&Shine balm is another rubbish product that I hated, didn't have any luck with Kiss of moisture as well.
Nevertheless, I didn't give up and got this Milk&Honey one which I really really like. It is very rich and creamy, completely different formula. I believe this one has way more natural oils and nourishing qualities. It's buttery texture makes it easy to apply, not like these hard waxy sticks of balm that you need to warm up by rubbing them into your lips over and over again till the actual balm sits on your lips. This one leaves your lips soft and moisturized and there is no disgusting residue after it wears off. I'd say it's the best out of all Nivea lip balms!
I'm wearing Rimmel 430 Coralicious nail polish. Pictures don't do any justice to how beautiful this color is. I looove it! It looks extremely pretty in a sunshine, perfect for sumer and if you are a little tanned, this color will look even better on you. Never tried Rimmel nail polishes before and I was really impressed by the quality. The brush is wider which makes it very quick to apply, no streaks, application is just divine, driessupper fast, as the bottle suggests. No messing up, no fuss. Seriously, girls, go grab this polish!
Is it just me or is it really getting more and more ridiculous? Cave men with a glass of Whiskey constantly in his hand-Chuck, creeper Vanessa, the ever crying Reina, airhead Charlie and Serena lost all over the place.
"Chuck: You look familiar. Didn't you, me and a stewardess get to know each other intimately over Lithuania?" How about that? Another proof that the reputation of Lithuanian girls is not the best. Being Lithuanian it saddens me.
Here's a hairstyle I've been sporting the past week. I was kind of inspired by Serena from GG as her hair is usually messy wavy and sometimes have some braids incorporated in the hairstyle. She always looks very bohemian, natural and relaxed with her hairstyles. I decided to make something simple, using her as and inspiration but still adding my own twist to the style. As I don't have time to do something to my hair in the morning, I do my hair the night before, but this hairstyle takes only few minutes, that's why I like it.
So basically, brush your hair, no matter if it's straight, wavy or curly (i think it would't look that well on poke straight hair). Then take a small section of hair in the front and make a regular braid. After just take a simple black hair tie and tie your hair as you would for making a ponytail. But the last time you pull your hair through the tie, just leave them half pulled so you'll have like a pony tail, but in a circle. I don't even know how to explain it but you'll get the idea from the pictures. For a final touch grab a black ribbon and tie a bow to hide your hair tie. It will add a classy detail to your hairstyle and will look like you put effort in doing your hair, which you really didn't :) Hope you like it and try it yourselves!
On Friday I was done with my last exam and thought I should get some beauty products that I've been wanting to get. What is a better than a retail therapy after an intense week of exams?
Retail therapyisshopping with the primary purpose of improving thebuyer'smoodordisposition. Often seen in people during periods of depression or transition, it is normally a short-lived habit. Items purchased during periods of retail therapy are sometimes referred to as "comfortbuys".
Haha, these are my "comfort buys" for a happier me. -Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair serum 30ml +gift with purchase Mini Idealist and Hydrationist day time moisturizer -Trevor Sorbie thickening leave-in conditioner for hair -Artdeco eye brow pencil -Manhattan red mini nail polish -Rimmer coral nail polish
I've been wanting to get Advanced Night Repair serum for ages! I'm hoping to clear up my acne scarring and other skin imperfections with this product. Many beauty gurus seem to love and hype about ANR so I finally got it and so far I love it!! I can see an immediate improvement in my skin..it's getting clearer, softer, much more nourished and just overall better looking. But I'm gonna do a full review on it when I'm completely done with it. It will take a while because you only apply one drop to the whole face so it's gonna last me for months and months.
So tiny and so cute! I had a tiny tester of it before and I remember really liking this product. It makes your skin like a velvet, hides your pores. It is a perfect make up base and is supposed to improve your skin with a constant use. I'm saving it for summer and if I will really love it, I'm gonna get it in a bigger size.
The only product I use for my eye brows. Artdeco eye brow pencil (the lightest shade). It's my 4th pencil and it has already become my holly grail. Love it! It's soo smooth, cheap and long lasting.
Have you purchased any beauty products lately to make yourself happier? Would you like a separate review on any of these products?
